Hello everyone! I am back from my little Copic class and I'm going to share my first project with you.
One of the techniques we learned was coloring black. Funny you won't use black! It's all done with Shades of Gray. I picked up this little Graduation girl as I knew I would need to make a few cards. I colored her, cut her out and put her on a simple base with a fishtail flag and she is done. I added a close up so you can see the detail.
Once I master hair. I'll share again. It may be a while. Lol

Before and After
I am up and the birds are singing! I am ready for some 90 degree weather and the warm Florida sun.
Today's card is a before and after. I found the original card on a blog (I forgot to bookmark) and cased it. I then redid the card and took it up a notch. I changed the color of the paper and added the black may for starters. I then stamped my images and colored them with Tim Holtz distressing ink. I also used the distressing ink on the edges of each piece and finished by using my glitter Gelly Roll pen to outline the lines in the image. They are attached using dimensionals and between those and the edges being distressed it really adds a nice WOW!
Try taking one of your cards and go from now to WOW!
Enjoy!

A Warm Hello Card starring Katie
In just a few weeks my best daughter in the world (as my cell phone announces when she calls will be graduating from middle school. I don't know where the time has gone but she has grown into a beautiful young woman with such a positive outlook on life. I'm proud to call her the best daughter in the world. On Sunday she decided she was going to participate in card class where everyone learned to tie a perfect bow and here she is with one of her cards sporting her perfect bow.
I love the colors of the card. We used our stamp pads and watercolored the stem of the flower and made the flower from punched shapes and a big threaded button. I always have to thread by buttons by simply running DMC floss through the holes. That's how I roll.
Enjoy!

You are Special Paper Smooches single layer card
It's a chilly start to this Thursday but it feels great. Opening of the beaches is this weekend to kick off the sand in your toes summer but the beach is already beautiful.
Today's card is a single layer (other than a mat) meaning no added pieces of paper. I stamped the monster on a piece of Kraft paper and colored him with Copics. He almost looks like denim. I couldn't let him go without some googlie eyes! I colored his tooth with my white gelly roll pen. To finish him off and add a little dimension, I took my white prismacolor pencil and shaded around the edge of his body! He's just adorable.
I am taking my first Copic class this weekend. I am excited to learn some new techniques which I'll be sharing when I return.
Enjoy!

A Little Birdy Told Me...
But I can't tell you yet but stay tuned as good news will follow!
I have recently discovered digital images and let me tell you it is so nice to be able to size your image to exactly what you need for your projects! Today's card is made from a digital image from cleardollarstamps. I love the whimsy look. I have already made three cards using this same image!
I used my Copics and colored the cute little bird and branch. The sentiment is an actual rubber stamp I had in my stash.
I'm dragging today from hauling right bags of top soil, spreading it (with the help of my awesome daughter) and planting three trays of plugs. I'm over it! LOL
Enjoy!

Somebirdy Special card
Good morning followers. Does anyone have any sleep remedies? I slept about five hours all weekend. Leave me a comment if you do! In dragging and would give anything to sleep all night just One Night! It wouldn't be so bad if I was creative during those waking hours! LOL
Today's card features stamps I just randomly stamped while visiting a friend. I'm not a fan of just stamping and having them sit around until I figured out what I could do with then. It when I saw these. I had an idea and here it is! I used my Copics and colored all of the pieces and cut then all out and layered them using dimensionals! You can see where i used the blender pen to create the texture to the nest. Isn't it just the cutest?
Enjoy. I'm off work.

Embossed Cherish Card
Hello everyone. I missed posting over the weekend but sometimes life happens and there aren't enough hours in the day.
Today's card uses multiple textures creates with embossing folders. The card is simple but the layers of textures creates a nice elegant finished project. The butterfly is cut using the Stampin Up embossing die which not only cuts the butterfly shape but also embossed.
Well I'm off to work. Enjoy!
