Oh Happy Day Card in a Box

Any day is a happy day when you don't have to go to work. I am happy I finally had time to sit down and create.

Today's card is made amusing the new DSP from the Stampin Ups Occassions catalog along with a few new and old stamps!

I love the new in colors. They are so fresh and fun!

It starts out flat (so you can mail it)

When they open it out comes a beautiful 3D creation.

Take a closer look at the layers and details.  It looks complicated but it's really easy.

The hardest part is picking the stamps!
This is the back of the card...sentiment and signature!

Hello with Pleasant Poppies

It's been a busy start to the year and January has just flown by. I have been doing some heavy cleaning and organizing and had a few minutes to make a card since all the stamps are organized and ink pads are at my finger tips!

Today's card is made with the stamp Pleasant Poppies. It's one of my favorite go to stamps when I need a long image. This is just part of the stamp which makes it very versatile.

I colored the image using my new Inktense Pencils. They give a very vibrate color which makes these flowers pop!

Enjoy!

Happy Heart Day

I can't believe we are almost through January! It will be Valentine's Day before you know it. Have you started your valentines projects? I was working on e Valentine sampler class and came across an oldie but goodie stamp set and stopped and put this cute little card together.

I used the first edition paper along with real red cardstock. The mouse was stamped, colored and cut out so I could make him 3D with my dimensionals. Isn't be the cutest?

Enjoy!

Merry Little Snowman

I have the cutest snowman to share with you today!  I have wanted this stamp from Stampin Up since I first saw it in the catalog  I love his size!  It's hard to find  stamps that allow you to fill up space on your cards! This one is perfect!

I started by stamping the snoman on shimmery white cardstock (I just love that sparkle) and colored him with my Copic Markers.  You can see the detail here on this close up.  I used the Copic Opaque White Ink to make the dots on his scarf.  It creates nice texture and draws your eye in.

Once I got him all colored I assembled the card and added the long ribbon and finished it off with a Tiny Tag attached with DMC floss.  The ribbon has wire in it and creates a nice "puffy" bow which reminds me of a beautiful Christmas package.

Here it is all assembled and complete! There are a few more favorites in this set which I will be sharing with you in the next week.   Enjoy!

Happy Holidays Fuzzy Copic Bears

I'm trying to get in the holiday groove early this year as I am in the process of planning my holiday classes.  I was going through my Christmas stamps and found these bears and they just seemed to be calling "color us".  I haven't done a project with my copics using the "fur" technique so off I went on this sidetracked adventure! I ended up using 22 markers to color these little "cuties" and a red spica pen!   They turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself!

Once I completed the coloring I automatically started cutting them out, nother chore in itself and I have looked at them for two days and finally decided on a design for them!  I layered the top note die onto a scalloped edged and dot embossed background and popdotted the bears!  There had to be a little ribbon as what's a Christmas card without a bow so I decided on the green!

Back to selecting stamps for my classes now!

Enjoy!

STAMPS:  Darice, Hero Arts Sentiment

PAPER:  Stampin Up Real Red, Basic Black and Garden Green

Totally Witchin! I'm Copic Certified!!!

Greetings from Not so Sunny Florida!  I've been busy the last week getting projects done and a quick trip to Orlando for Copic Certification!  I received my Standard AND Intermediate Certifications in one weekend!  It was a ton of great information to grasp but it was so much fun!  Glad to be back home to my girls.  The little four legged one missed me so much she made herself sick! :(  Not so much fun! LOL

Taking the certification class brought on a whole new beginning of the way I look at things. They are not so simple anymore! It's a whole new ballgame! So be on the lookout for some "out of the box" creations!

I actually made this card before I went to class It was made using a My Favorite Things stamp set and Stampin Up background stamp, background paper and cardstock.

Don't forget to check out the Designed to Color magazine website for their latest issue.  I have two cards published in that issue and will have a couple more published later this year in other publications!  Thanks for stopping by!

Trick or Treat Halloween Sampler

I have been on overload making these and giving classes in them. The classes are a three part series. We did Halloween and will follow with Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I have used punches, stamps and dies to creat each square. The coloring is done with Copics of course!

I plan on putting mine in the niche as you walk in the door and change out the insert for each holiday that way I'm not dragging down one decoration to out up another!

Enjoy!

Miss you with For the Birds

Hello everyone! It's jump day and August 1st. I can't believe in just a few weeks school will start again. The summer has flown by once again.

Today's card is made using the Stampin Up set For the Birds. I just love this set and it has become a standard go to for coloring with my Copic Markers.

I started with a "portrait" card following a sketch and there was just too much white so I switched to landscape and really likes the look. I finished off with a coordinating bow.

Enjoy!

With you....my favorite place to be

I hope everyone is staying cool. It's no so humid thank goodness.

Today's card is made using the new stamp set from Stampin Up called for the birds. Lots of Copic opportunity here! I also used the spica pens for a little bling!

I layered the stamped image in black and then one of the framelits from the apothecary set for the red behind the black mat. I matted the base with the yellow polka dot paper. It's just do fun and cheery!

Enjoy!

Thanks for your Support

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th! I have missed posting the last week as a lot has been going on. I have three cards sent off for upcoming publications in magazines and am working on a few more to be sent in for consideration.

I have also started the C25K program. It's not as easy as you think. I never really thought about running a 5K but as they say never say never!

Today's card was a quickie! I used the new Stampin Up set For the Birds. Nice practice for coloring with Copics in small spaces! :)

I matted the image on a scalloped edge piece of stampin up cardstock and just happened to have the perfect blue ribbon to match the card base!

Stay cool this weekend. Hopefully it will be a little cooler here. I've got some training to do!

Enjoy!

Thanks with Pink Orange and Green

Now that Debby has passes hopefully things will get back to normal. The rain has been incredible and devastating for some. Thankfully we were spared.

Today's card is made using my favorite colors...pink, orange and green. My friend Sharon was kind to stamp a few shoes for me to play with. I didn't know how many time I would actually want to do that much intricate coloring! It didn't take as long as I expected and I'm pleased with the results. I don't worry about a lot of shading as some of the spaces were so small just a touch of the tip of the pen was all that was needed to color.

Enjoy!

When the rain is done

Oh what a perfect card for today. It has poured rain all night long. Debby has really dumped a lot of water in the last twelve hours.

Today's card is made with the new Bootiful stamp set from Stampin Up! I wasn't going to order this set but for some reason I ended up throwing I on my order at the last minute.

I stamped the first boot on the cardstock and stamped another on a piece of scrap. Once I colored the boots with my Copics, I cut out the extra one and layered it in the cardstock with dimensionals. The background is one of the new embossing folders from Stampin Up as well.

If you're in not so sunny Florida today. Stay safe and stay dry!

Enjoy!

Hello with Copic Colored Flowers with a little touch of sparkle

TGIF! Busy weekend ahead. Sharks game, girls night out and whatever comes next! Bring it on!!!

Today's card is simple and sweet. I used the Ditto stamps and stamped the main image with Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I went back with my blue spica pen and added some "swirl" accents for a little sparkle. I stamped the blue mad with Momento Blue ink using the drawn circles stamp. The sentiment is punched with Stampin ups scalloped oval. For a finishing touch I added a black bow to offset the black mat.

Enjoy!

Monster Birthday with Washi Tape

Washi tape? Yet another collection to have to have all you can hoard! There are so many colors an patterns how could you possibly decide?

Today's card is my second creation using Washi Tape. You will see the first one a little later.

I used the Darcie's Monster Birthday set for my cute little monster. His eyes and mouth are separate stamps. I have attached them using dimensionals. I cut my orange tape to create a thick and thin strip and the green is a partial piece as well. The sentiment is also from Darcie's!

Perfect card for your little monsters birthday!

Enjoy!!!

Because Nice Matters

TGIF! I am so ready for a three day weekend.

I just love this card. I used my tag punch and made the scallop top and bottom of the mat for the image.

I stamped the image and colored with my stampin write markers. Rather just just coloring in the whole image, I liked the curls for the leaves which gives it a nice "airy" look.

I used the border punch for the edge of the pink and finished off with the green gingham bow.

Bonus photo - Little Lady Sadie loves to be the center of attention and if my daughter gets near me she tries to split us up. Yesterday I was on the couch and Sadie got up so Katie sat down and she wouldn't stand for it do she tried everything she could to wedge us apart. Silly girl!

Buzzworthy Paper Smooches Wobble Card

TGIF! Busy weekend ahead weather permitting!

Today's card uses a lot of pieces but I think it's one of my favorites. I used a paint chip as my inspiration and started layering. The sentiment is stamped on and punched using the word window punch from Stampin Up. The patterned paper was in my scrap stash. the scalloped border was made using the border punch. The bee is by Paper Smooches and I cut him out and added him onto a "wobble" which is a cute new creation that makes your cards move. Now my bee can actually "buzz buzz"!

Enjoy!

Unfrogettable an old but goodie

Hello everyone! Today's card uses an old Stampin Up set that has always been one of my favorites. I love the frog and mushroom and colored them with my copics.

I used the top note die for layering and attached with dimensionals. I cutout the frog and mushroom, tedious work but someone had to do it!

Two workouts yesterday....the Y and shopping with my girl!

Enjoy
