Trick or Treat with a Jack o Lantern

This week is just flying by!  Busy weekend ahead with football game, class and whatever else comes our way!

Todays card is made using the Stampin Up Top Note Die to create the Jack o Lantern and the EK Success punch to do the face.  I cut the top of the top note die for the "lid" and used ink to shade around the face and edges.  For a finishing touch I used my white Signo pen to "stitch" around the pumpkin.

You could do many variations of this card by changing the colors to create different characters such as Frank, a witch, ghost or even a scarecrow and that's just for Halloween! :)

Enjoy!

Stamps:  Dollar Stamp from Michaels

Paper:  Stampin Up Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun (O how I miss that color)

Other:  Stampin Up Top Note Die, Ek Success Punch, Gingham Ribbon

Because Nice Matters

TGIF! I am so ready for a three day weekend.

I just love this card. I used my tag punch and made the scallop top and bottom of the mat for the image.

I stamped the image and colored with my stampin write markers. Rather just just coloring in the whole image, I liked the curls for the leaves which gives it a nice "airy" look.

I used the border punch for the edge of the pink and finished off with the green gingham bow.

Bonus photo - Little Lady Sadie loves to be the center of attention and if my daughter gets near me she tries to split us up. Yesterday I was on the couch and Sadie got up so Katie sat down and she wouldn't stand for it do she tried everything she could to wedge us apart. Silly girl!

Hello with Big Gingham Bow

Hello peeps! I have a rather interesting card to share with you today. I used the hello blossoms stamp from stampin up and stamped on black to make the centers for my card on Monday and when I was left with the empty centers I thought it was pretty neat

I stamped the image again in pink and placed it behind for the letters to show through and once again had a complete image for a card. I added a close up so you could see the detail.

I accent the pink letters with the large gingham ribbon and in just a few minutes had a nice little simple card.

Enjoy!

Thank you for Being You - Punch Owls

I just love the Stampin Up! Owl punch.  This card kit was a leftover from a Christmas card class!  I took the leftover kit and challenged myself to make another card using the supplies from the original card.  Originally, this was a Christmas tree ornament!  The jute was used to hang the card on the tree.  I knotted the jute making it the branch for the owls to sit on and attached it to the card.  I did have to make the circle larger than the original card and I used the dauber to create the clouds.  I love it when a makeover falls into place!

Only a couple more days for a chance at blog candy!  You can enter below by leaving a comment and signing up to follow me by email, google, or networked blogs.  Drawing will be Friday, April 15th.
