Wish BIG! That would be me!

Carrying on with the Birthday theme today I have a card to share using a House Mouse stamp.

I chose to color with Copic Markers and I think it turned out fabulous. That cupcake looks so yummy I used the frame embossing folder to make a decorative mat for the image. It was perfect. I added the sparkle ribbon and "iced" the cupcake with a Diva Glitter Liner pen.

Enjoy your day!

Classic Black and White with a Dash of WOW!

There's nothing as classic as black and white and today's card is a perfect example.

I have used black and white paper and ribbon and thrown in a dash of pink (my favorite color) for a little pop of wow! I used my copic markers to color the flower. I didn't have a flower to fit the frame do I drew the stem and leaf and used dimensionals to put the flower over the stem.

I also distressed the white to coordinate with the patterned paper. I always keep cheap old brown and black ink pads on hand to use for distressing. I use the cheap pads as they are perfect for this as they are not the usual hard ink sponge and I don't have to worry about ruining my good ink pads!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my site yesterday. I had almost five hundred visitors!!!

Birthday Wishes

To celebrate my birthday this week I am going to share a week of birthday projects! I hope you follow along we can always use birthday card ideas!

Today's card is very bright and colorful. I punches different size circles and glued them to black cardstock. I then ran the piece of cardstock with the circles attached through my Sixxiz Big Shot machine in the Stampin up square lattice embossing folder. It creates a very neat textured background. I then stamped the cupcake and cut it out and adhere with a dimensional.

The ribbon is wired so the bow stands up nicely!

Karens Kraft Room

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I thought I would share with you a few photos of my creating space.

The tables are made from two hollow core doors (Lowes 32" x 80") and five bookcases (Walmart). I used the idea from pinterest and followed the directions for finishing them. While I was worried about the durability of the doors, they are holding up very well.

I like so store things in a decorative way as you can see from my buttons on the shelf. I also have my sewing machine on a bottom shelf on the other end. I have also added a few pretties in addition to my supplies.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Don't forget to subscribe to the right do you don't miss any creations!

Enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday Wishes!

Someone I know has a birthday coming up! Another year older....oh yeah that's supposed to be another year better!!! :)

Today's card features an actual birthday candle! The bright color of the candle really pops on the black embossed cardstock. It's a great use for those odd leftover candles.

Some people ask what do I do on the inside of a black card? Well you can stamp in white or cut a smaller piece of white cardstock and make a mat for the inside which is usually my choice.

Enjoy your Saturday....even if it's a chilly one! It will only be in the sixths in Sunny Florida!

Crisp white on white

Good morning everyone and TGIF!!! It's been a busy week and this weekend it's time for some fun. To get started I wanted to show you one of my latest cards.

It is white on embossed white. So crisp and elegant and the pop of purple just says WOW! I colored the flower with my Copic Marker and just happened to have a perfectly matching purple ribbon. I just love when things some together like that! I also used my Spica Glitter Pen for some detail on the petals!

I hope everyone has a blessed and beautiful weekend!

Batty in Love

I am so addicted to my new Paper Smooches stamps! They are so much fun to color with the copic markers!

Today's card features the bat, heart and sentiment from the Falling for you set. I cut the circle in the front of the card and the inside is the yellow. I like how it makes him glow.

Enjoy!

Distressed Thanks

Hello everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Tonight's card features the Tim Holtz distressed inks and Copic markers. I used the distressed ink to color my background paper. The image was stamped with momento tuxedo black ink and colored with my Copic Markers. The finishing touches we're done with the Spica pens to add a little sparkle. I stamped the flower and adhered it to the background paper using dimensionally. I believe I am an official dimensionalholic! LOl

Warmest Wishes

Good morning Friends! Since most of the country is a little chilly I thought I would warm you up with a beautiful sunflower.

I made today's card by using a dauber and "coloring" the stamp to get the shades colors. Once The image was stamped I thought it needed a little more "WOW" so I used my Gelly Roll glitter pen to add the strokes of sparkle and then the Diva Paint Pen for the center. You can see the detail in the close up photo. It really made a huge difference in the results.

Enjoy!

Miss You

Paper Smooches stamps are in the house and they are all so cute I couldn't decide which to use first. This is actually the second card I made using the Falling for You set.

I love this little monster. He looks like he just wants to have a chat. I chose to color him with my Copic markers in a light lime green with a little pink heart. I guess i should have made his heart blue with the sentiment I chose.

Enjoy!
