Happy Birthday Embossed Acetate Card / BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY!!!

TGIF!  I am so ready for the weekend and it's supposed to be a nice one! I've got some stuff to prepare for a friend but other than that hopefully we will be beach bound and get a little shopping in!

Today I am featuring one of my favorite cards.  It is made with Embossed Acetate.  I ran the top half of the card (acetate) through the Lots of Dots embossing folder and placed a piece of Perfect Plum cardstock on the inside for the base.  I colored the flower with the Prismacolor pencils and did lots of shading for the beautiful detail. I used the upcoming new Designer Paper for the top of the card and the sentiment mat at the bottom.  I think it's just beautiful!

  8. I love the effect of the embossed acetate. I haven't tried that, but it's nice against the Perfect Plum color.

  9. Allison sent me-cause she knows I love ribbon? Or trying to shame us all into posting new cards? I dunno. I have to do taxes and pay the man. Maybe next week. Added you to my networked blogs. My Reader is driving me nuts.

  11. Found out through Allison who stamps when she can that you're back to blogging!! That acetate card, well, my first trip in here and I'm already inspired - I stinkin LOVE acetate in crafting! Oh how funny, I'm not the only one here via Allison - WTG girl!!

I have millions of problems as a tried and true WordPress girl in trying to follow blogs, but I'll give it a try. Seems random when it works.

  12. Oooh hey, I would like to comment in here as often as I can, but doing so with my Smartphone is nearly impossible when word verification is a pop-up...it just doesn't work. So I was wondering if you might consider either reverting to comment moderation completely, or at least eliminating the word verification pop-up and having it on this actual form? With the increased use in Smartphones and iPads, I'd hate for you to lose any potential commenters when it's an easy fix. Thanks for considering!!
